This is an old chair that was woven with leather, I have hand-painted nylon and cotton straps and weaved them over the existing strapping for added support and an entirely different feel. Dominique represents a deeper commitment to the fibers in us that reflect our true calling. She brings strength and steadfastness to space she is in. I made her finials from concrete and created bespoke tassels that sit from each finial. There are cotton dyed tassels that hang from the bottom of the seat, an unexpected detail that resembles the roots from which our calling sprouts from.
